The Presidium ARI is an advanced tester that distinguishes natural Type Ia diamonds from lab-grown diamonds (CVD/HPHT) and all types of moissanites through UV reflection.

Thanks to patented technology, the ARI measures the UV light absorption of diamonds and moissanites, providing a clear result on the LCD touchscreen in just 3 seconds: “Diamond,” “CVD/HPHT/Type IIa,” or “Moissanite.”

Suitable Tests:

• Distinguishing colorless diamonds (D-J) from lab-grown CVD/HPHT diamonds and moissanites, including new low-conductivity moissanites.
• For loose stones and all types of set jewelry, such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
• Tests on diamonds and moissanites of all proportions, from 0.02 ct to 10 ct.
• Quick results within 3 seconds.

Limitations: The ARI technology does not detect zirconia or cubic zirconia and will indicate “Diamond” in these cases. The Presidium Diamondmate-A (PDMT-A) can, however, identify zirconia and colorless sapphire. Use this to verify the authenticity of a diamond.
